A retired fellow supported by a humble and pious wife will be at the helm of a family, male protégés generally will be brilliant and smart with a golden heart, the female counterparts will mostly be beautiful and coy but always dreaming of a prince on dark horse to come and woo them, one or two comical characters will be there to keep everyone in good mood, every elder and junior will be vying to be the matchmaker for the eligible ones, love will finally bloom under the watchful eyes of the elder ones and will become a butt of jokes for the junior ones, life will be good for one and all, skelton will roll out and love will freeze, life will keep on going for the elders and juniors but warps for the bleeding hearts, the dice will roll once again and lovebirds will live happily after……Sounds familiar…. has to….. add some signature garnishing’s and we have the storylines of all the Bollywood potboilers ….Like this junk food then this novel is for you, it satisfies all your those cravings to read mindless books..….it’s a paisa vasool like a David Dhawan movie ... Having read her critically acclaimed first book The Zoya Factor, I picked up Anuja's third novel with mighty high expectations and I was kind of disappointed. It is a series of predictable episodes and the storyline is quite cliched. Now I know her kind of books are widely labelled as 'chick-lit' but since she takes herself as a serious writer and doesn't take kindly to the tag of a chick-lit writer, I judge her on her own terms too and hence, disappointed with this book. It was an okay read, funny and romantic in places, but it didn't meet my expectations.
