Timekeeper (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

I loved her 3rd novel, Suspicion, and I really liked her first novel, Timeless.Of course, I had to read this, which is a sequel to Timeless. To be honest, this book seemed a bit contrived. It felt like the book was an attempt to capitalize on the success of 2 & 3 part YA books, rather than being a continuation of the previous book, or a story on its own.It was okay. But the crescendo to the climax was rather a straight line, and the climax itself was not very climatic and was over way too fast. I was actually surprised when I was at that point in the book, because I still did not feel the urgency, the fear, the speculation, any of the things that a reader should feel by this point in the book.Like I said, the book was okay. And I will definitely be reading more of her books. She is a very talented author. Not as dramatic and soap opera like as the first one. This one took then potential for greatness. I had a fear that this series was going to get a little bit ridiculous. But it didn't so we are all good. Michele is happy because her Philip is back. Only, he can't remember anything. To him, everything is like a deja vu and he doesn't know what's going on. So on top of someone trying to murder her, Michele has to make the love of her life fall in love with her. Again. The whole time travelling thing gets explained in this book. We learn about the society that time travels. We also learn more about Irving Henry. He was the real missing piece of the puzzle and now we get to see what his relationship with Marion was. We also get to learn about why he left her.Lots of questions get answered here. I enjoyed this book and if it was the last one (which I'm assuming it is), it sums up this series well. With lots of romance, some betrayal and a murderous heiress out for revenge, Michele has the week of her life.

What do You think about Timekeeper (2013)?

It was ok, but I still feel bad for Philip from 1953.
