Cooper Blake used to be a pretty average teenager. He played football, went to parties and did okay in school. Last summer he was in an accident and everything changed. Besides facing massive anxiety and depression, Cooper now has the almost constant company of a ghost named Samantha. Or is she more than she seems?Tower of Darkness is Atwater-Rhodes strongest book in the Den of Shadows series so far. The characters are very 3 dimensional, the plot has an appropriate build on tension and there is a strong emotional undertone that took me by surprise. Loved this book. It was fun and kept me wanting more. This book was too short. Not as in I really enjoyed it and finishing it left me wanting more but that it was rushed. You knew a bit about the characters but it more felt like a skeleton in desperate need of flesh. I did not understand that that two characters were hostile to each other until they started to mark snapping comments. Even those left the emotion I needed to make it seem true. Good story, good idea.... needs some fatty goodness.
Not a bad read. Can be read in one sitting...not too long. Interesting plot line.
