Here we go back to the wonderful town of Twilight Texas in the 3rd book of the series. These stories just get better and better. It is so much fun to re visit some of the characters from the previous stories.Sarah Collier absolutely loved spending time with her grandmother in the town of Twilight on her holiday & Summer breaks from boarding school. That is until a very humiliating event occurred that made her want to never step foot in the town again. And her plan of never coming back would have worked until a certain ladies club(LOVE THEM!!) decided to intervene. 9 years later after the event that Sarah would like to forget about, she is a well known Children's author known as Sadie Cool. The ladies Club invite Sadie Cool(not telling any one else who she really is) to Twilight to make her honorary mayor of the day, give her to the key to the city and involve her in other holiday festivities. Travis Walker is a single dad to a 8 yr old daughter with serious health issues. Little does Travis know that the author of his daughter's FAVORITE book, who has been invited to their town just happens to be the girl who is 5 years younger than him and would always come to visit his next door neighbor but also happened to be the one who had a major crush on Travis as a child. What happens when these two come face to face again and Travis sees that his neighbor's granddaughter has grown up into a very beautiful woman?? Mix in the match making ladies who always seem to be putting Travis & Sarah together in situations and you have another fun filled story Another feel-good romance novel, this one was interesting. I'd never heard of kismet cookies before so that was a first for me. The idea behind the magic kismet cookies was really cute and then bring in Sarah and Travis' love story, made it even sweeter. Travis' daughter was the icing on top of the mountain of sugar that made up this novel. There's a lot of nervousness, anxiousness and uncertainty on Sarah's side coupled with Travis's never-ending love and determination for his daughter fighting her illness, I really rooted for the couple. The novel revolves mostly around Sarah, Travis and his daughter all becoming closer as they spend more time with each other but ultimately the trio do get their happy ending and I was glad for that. Travis' daughter, Jazzy (Jasmine) is the main catalyst in bringing together the couple and I'm not sure if Lori Wilde intended it to be that way, but without Jazzy you don't really have a story. Jazzy was the spice, or in this case, the sugar icing that made everything gel together. The rift between Sarah and Travis isn't actually that interesting until Jazzy comes in to bring the two together. It's very endearing but there isn't much more to the story other than Jazzy's attempts to push her dad and Sarah together. The story is very simple and straightforward. I didn't think there was a lot of humour or witty banter in this story as much as I expected from other reviews, but I guess my humour runs toward the dry side. Overall the story is sweet and easy to get through.2/5 stars.
