Mary O'Reilly is trying to settle into her new married life, but between the behavior problems with her new stepdaughter Clarissa, and the discovery that she is pregnant, things are dicey. And then Rosie asks her to help out with a possible haunting at a farmhouse that is up for sale. I love this series and can honestly say that each story gets better. This one actually provides Mary with three ghost hauntings to solve, supported all the while by her new husband, Police Chief Bradley. Looking forward to her next adventure. Terri Reid happens to be one of my absolute favorite authors (and I read a LOT of books!) And with Treasured Legacies she proves that she belongs there in my top 3! We last left Mary just finding out she was pregnant, and the story picks right up where it left off. This book is all about Dale, who would kill him and why, when he was a beloved father and a simple farmer. Although it seems obvious, Terri always has her little twists and turns that keep you turning page after page long after you should have gone to bed! (At least in my case, it's 440 AM here!) Clarissa seems to be starting to accept that Mary and Bradley want her for the long run, which makes me like her again, and Mary experiences a few of my dreaded pregnancy woes (ugh morning sickness!) Great job again Terri, I will be EAGERLY anticipating your next novel, and your next, and your next..
What do You think about Treasured Legacies (2000)?
Love these characters. Each book is a joy to read. Can't wait for the next one!
