And at last, Keira felt her chest rise and fall, and the white-covered ground evened out in her vision. She pulled herself across the snow until she reached Calloway’s still body. Please let him be okay, she prayed, her heart banging against her ribs so hard it hurt. She dropped her head to Calloway’s chest.
