This was an awkward read. So this is the story of a man who decide to seduce an innocent, almost naive young woman, to make her his mistress all the while shopping for a respectable wife he plans on hiding in the countryside. The hero was not a likable man, all manipulative and deceitful. And I can't even use the excuse of stupidity to justify the action of the heroine as she was perceptive enough to recognise when she was manipulated but still willingly fell into the hero arms. And really! Who bring his lover to the house where his bethrothing contract negociation will take place? And after she learned that he was seducing her without even being honest about his futur engagement, she still aggree to stay as his mistress. Where was her self-pride? I really like the intensity of the book but I never felt like I actually KNEW the hero. Aside from the creepy stalker vibe and his need to just... ruin her for fun, well, it was okay. I think I was 26% of the way in before we even heard from his point of view. I liked Miranda and her change from shop girl to courtesan was very... odd. The stuff she did didn't seem QUITE in character but, well, I wasn't the author.Anyway. It's an okay read. Nothing spectacular.
What do You think about Tutkunun Sırrı (2014)?
It took a while to get where it was going but oh was it worth it. I love Max and Miranda!

I liked the heroine, especially since she loved reading.
