The storyline was good, there were some poignant scenes and funny dialogues. I was a bit heartbroken with the last part of the story. The idea of an epic and everlasting love kind of crumbled when Daemon ended up with another. It was carefully thought out, but the chemistry between them did not really work out for me. It would always be Daemon and Jaenelle. How I wish the story ended in a different way for hopeless romantics like me. Overall, Anne Bishop is one hell of a talented writer. Hope there's more to come..... As much as I dreaded reading this book because I wanted to live forever with an image of Jaenelle and Daemon happy together, I thoroughly enjoyed the conclusions this book provided.As Saetan was my favorite character, I couldn't stop my sobbing from when he announced his approaching death until after he had completely left. This whole book was just a sea of tears for me as characters I have loved for years passed away or moved on in their lives. It truly was a good ending for this fantastic series.
A satisfying ending to our beloved character's stories and a new beginning.
