I always seem to be drawn to romances where the H/h have a history and they find their way back to each other. This is that of course but also much more. I loved Luke and Shannon's story, but just as much I loved the cast of animal characters, and learning so much about the rodeo life. This is a really great contemporary romance with a real cowboy in a small Texas town. If you're a fan of the genre, you won't want to miss it! Total brain candy that should come with a box of tissues. I'm a sucker for getting shoved through the emotional wringer, and this one did it mightily with an onslaught of stories about rescue animals and abused/neglected kids and the altruistic adults who save them; it's enough to make a rock weep - seriously. Formulaic? Sure, but the characters were well-rounded enough to make it plausible and the solid writing sets this one above average.
Watch for this book--coming soon!! Loved it and can't wait for the next installment!
