The Good: A lot of action in this book and I liked that it wasn't boring. The plot overall wasn't bad and I liked some of the characters. It was a lot better than the first book The Way We Fall. For more information on The Way We Fall check out my earlier post of it. The cliffhanger wasn't bad and I honestly wasn't surprised by how it ended.Tobias: An ex- army soldier who saved Kaelyn and her friends from being killed numerous times. He is very loyal and resourceful. Leo: I liked Leo as a character overall because he was willing to do whatever necessary to keep everyone safe but I disliked how he wasn't entirely loyal to his girlfriend ( Tessa). I wish that he would have been more of a friend to Kaelyn and didn't make things so awkward between them. The Bad: If you have ever read a book called Streams of Babel and Fire Will Fall it's very similar to this series except without the problem of terrorists. The action in it was great but I feel like this series has just dragged on and on. There are plenty of books were everyone has been infected by a virus and now has to try and save the people left through a vaccine. Some of the things that happened in this book weren't surprising like having another group of people want the virus for themselves. Kaelyn: She annoyed me so much. It's great that she cared about everyone in her group ( Leo, Gav, Meredith, Tessa etc.) and didn't want to leave anyone behind but she can't save everyone. Loyalty to friends is great but when your trying to save everyone and have to deal with people who will kill to get the vaccine it won't get you far. I also disliked how she never told Gav ( her boyfriend) that she kissed Leo and I am pretty sure she is in love with him. I also dislike how Kaelyn get's freaked out whenever Tobias has to shot someone. Killing someone isn't good but sometimes it better to shot the enemy than have the enemy kill you. Thanks for Reading :D
