Undisputed: How To Become The World Champion In 1,372 Easy Steps (2007) - Plot & Excerpts
A really good follow-up to Jericho's first book. I enjoyed reading all of the backstage details of his first run in the WWE, and the fact that he was also able to travel around with a rock band and do a ton of incredible things on the side is inspiring. The chapter on Chris Benoit was well done, and I think his conclusion as to what actually caused Benoit to murder his wife and family is likely the closest thing to the truth out there. The book ends just as Jericho makes his first big return to the WWE, which is going to be a perfect starting point for his third book, due out soon. Looking forward to checking it out and enjoying more backstage wrestling stories and rock band road stories. Having read Chris Jericho's first book, I absolutely had to have this one, even had it preordered, I found that this entry wasn't quite the same as his first one. This book follows the same formula as the first, but has a lot more about his band "Fozzy" which to some could be a plus(if you like the band) or a negative(if you really just cared about hearing stories of the road from Y2J himself). Personally I didn't very much care for the fozzy stories simply because I figure that the amount of years Chris Jericho has been around in wrestling there'd be a lot more 'stories of the road' from his WWF/WWE tenure, and there was but it was presented in a different way than in "A Lion's Tale".My main thing with biographies is that the book HAS to read like the person who the book is about, is basically telling YOU, the reader, their story. And this book absolutely does, you can definitely tell Chris Jericho had about 70% of the reign on the writing of this book. All in all, if you're a Wrestling fan you're going to just love this book. If you aren't it'll be tough to see if you'll truly be able to understand the appeal of This and his previous book "A Lion's Tale". Definitely enjoyed this myself and DO plan to read again soon.
