I loved the concept of this book - best friends not knowing they were in love until it was pointed out - and I think Mallery did a good job with it at first, but I didnt think she followed through well. There was a point in the book where everything shifted extreemly and it messed up the flow. Also the ending of the book was very fast - like Mallery was like "and im done". Overall liked it but I feel like it could have been better.(eBook). I admit my nook kicked me off the book (long since expired) at the beginning of the last chapter. It's ok, I missed nothingFirst, I already read the ending and Second, there are no surprises here. Except that a) she hasn't retired Fool's Gold yet (it's long past time) and b) I am dumb enough to keep reading these books. This one is about Jack and Larissa, but it could have been anyone else's story from this oh-so-cute little town that attracts only superstar hot men and their gorgeous women. Beginning to feel a little too Stepford Wives for me…I swear I am not reading any more of these. Until I do. Ugh. SO not worth the time they take or the paper on which they are printed.
