V-Card (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

When I first read the blurb for this story I wasn't sure it would be one that I could get into. But once I started I found myself pulled in and loving the characters. It's hard to say too much without giving away spoilers but I'm very happy with the way this story came together. The ending was perfect in my opinion. Jenn was a great lead character and I love the chemistry she has with her roommates, Christian and Luke, as well as the friendship with the girls. I thought this was a great portrayal of how twenty-something people act, the fears, the expectations, the mistakes; it was easy to relate to them. I laughed at scenes such as the pie fight (my favorite scene) and became a bit teary at scenes like the one at the halloween party. I will say that the cover may be a bit misleading to some, this book is relatively clean, there are intimate scenes but they were well written and steamy without being overly descriptive or obscene. This is the first book I've read by this author and I look forward to reading more! MY REVIEWThis book charmed me from the very first page. V Card is the story of Jenn, a college student about to enter her senior year with her v card still in tact. Her goal? To lose her virginity within 60 days. What ensues is hilarity, hot men, hurt feelings, drama , angst and some sexiness. This was a really quick and fun read, light but with a good solid storyline and likable characters. I fell in love with Jenn;s roommate, Luke. Hotness alert! They have a love hate relationship with loads of sexual chemistry between them. Jenn’s awakward and cringe worthy attempts at sex will leave you in stitches. Poor Jenn. But what I loved the most about V card is Jenn’s journey. She starts this book with a mission but by the end, she ends up finding herself and the person that she was meant to be. You can witness her transformation throughout the book. And the ending….that’s the payoff. This was a spectacularly good read, interesting, fun, serious without being too serious, romantic and of course sexy.4.5 out of 5 stars
