Anyone who reads these knows that they aren't the best stories out there, but there's something so silly about them that I keep checking back in with Esther and the craziness that surrounds her.Dopplegangster is my favorite so far. I was nervous about this one, but about half way through it got more interesting. Getting to find out about the Lithuanians, the vampire posse, Thack, and her rant on how unsexy vampire sex would really be (starts at the end of page 288)... yep, it finally got entertaining instead of stupid. Hopefully it will end well. Vamparazzi, the fourth book in the Esther Diamond series was a very enjoyable read. The quirky humor that has been displayed in the other three books in the series comes out to shine full force. The story was interesting and entertaining but I was a bit disapointed that I figured out who the murderer and all the vampires were long before Esther did. Normally Esther is a bit more on the ball in figuring things out, but then again, you can't always be on top of your game in extream circumstances I guess. Looks like Esther had an off week. The only other problem I really had with this novel is Esther's relationship with Lopez doesn't really go anywhere despite the teasings that something would change either for better of worse. I know it is silly, but that did bug me. Other than those two things, I loved everything else about Vamparazzi and I am looking forward to the fifth book Polterhiest. Despite my two disapointments I am going to give this book a full five star rating because it was a truely wonderful read and I highly recomend it.
