Had to start with #2 as #1 was either out of print or really rare at the time...hopefully I can find one to go back to someday as I'm really loving this one so far. Great sense of humor to it.It was a great book...a few spots where it was a bit twisted plot wise trying to keep track of/figure out who was themselves and who'd been copied but still quite good! Definitely need to get the rest of the series! Decent series. The funny thing is, it's the second book and the way the whole thing comes together it might as well be the first book. Esther is likeable as your first person accidental heroine in the same way Mercy Thompson is likeable; you could be friends with them and dismayed with their choices to hang with a bunch of weirdos. The only downside I found with this title was that I had figured much of the culprits out before the characters so there are areas that get repetitive if you've read enough of these urban fantasy books; the reader solves it (which means you have a solid mystery going to begin with) but the reader is two chapters ahead of your characters so when you finally get to the last act it's more of a FINALLY than an ooooooo I see what you did there reaction. Still, I have the third book and will keep up with Esther Diamond and her weird life.
A hilarious and gripping action read, with a wonderfully imperfect and consistent leading lady.

It was fun in a light-hearted way. Not great literature, but good fluff which was its purpose.

Very enjoyable. Not a serious piece of literature, but just right for what it is.
