This was an amazing series, in particular this book. So many things happen that tug at your heart. I bawled, it was so hard to read through all my tears. This is the first time I read a book written my Keary and I must say I am hooked, she knows how to get a reader attached to the character's, not just the main one but also the supporting ones. I found my self heart broken for Emily and cheering her on. I was attached to Sal from the very first book and my heart broke for her. I highly recommend this series to everyone, it is different from any other Angel books I have read thus far. :) The last 4 chapters finally had the pull I'd been hoping for since book 1. I gave 3 stars because while I did care about what happened to the characters, but I couldn't sympathize with Jessica. I understood, but didn't agree with her logic of "it's not fair." Loads of people have love ripped from them, regardless of how desperately they cling to it, so that she was afforded a fighting chance is a blessing that requires big girl boots, not a child's whine of "it's not fair!" I enjoyed the pacing and character development more in the last third of this book than I had the rest of the series. Cole was the most interesting to me, so I'm ready to dive into Afterlife.
What do You think about Vindicated (2000)?
The only thing bad about this book is it was the end of the series.
