It's possible I liked this story better than the first. Thanks to the Witness Protection Program, Gloria has plenty of secrets to hide. Chance brings Zane, her beloved boyfriend from her old life, into her life. She's changed so much about herself that he doesn't recognize her even though losing her so unexpectedly was the impetus for his career in law enforcement.Mojo brings back all of the quirky humor you would expect. You'll meet all sorts of old friends from In Deep Voodoo, and you'll make some new friends like Steve Chasen's cat, one of my favorite characters in the whole book.As usual, the mystery will keep you guessing, and the romance will keep you invested in Zane and Gloria. Oh, and no one does heroines who get themselves in crazy situations quite like Stephanie Bond.My favorite part, though, was Gloria's personal growth and her struggle to figure out who she really was. The ending? Spot on, but I'm not going to tell you what it was. You'll just have to read it for yourself. The fine folks of Mojo, LA are at it again! There's something about the new lawyer, Gloria, that she just can't talk about. When the new chief of police responds to the scene of an accident at Gloria's law office, her past comes back in living color. One murder leads to another, which leads to another... The citizens of Mojo are a kooky bunch and I wish that this book was just the second of many. What do you think Ms. Bond? I believe there may just be another mystery or two lurking in Mojo!
What do You think about Voodoo Or Die (2011)?
Just as much fun as the first book. Actually, it might be even better. Can't wait for book 3.
