It was too short and too long. Had it been condensed a bit, with the needless descriptive paragraphs that had nothing to do with the story removed, it would have been a lot better.Had the aforementioned paragraphs been replaced with more background on each MC then longer would have been good. The dialogue seemed off. They are in Northern England but their accents are pretty much nonexistent. Also, it was a bit sugary in its loveyness. I can't remember exactly when I read this. Another book that I wished was less cutesy and that didn't feel the ened to explain everything to the readers. I really like to be able to work stuff out for myself.I did love the island setting, and Mark was a charming MC. I just have this thing about long exposition scenes. I want the author to be able to trust me to come to my own conclusions.I found the fact that the boys both suffered from the same secret issues somewhat coincidental, and wanted more at the end there. Not having a good run at picking books at the moment.
The love interest in this one made me cross - his big secret was that he was gay. Shock! Gormless...

it was a nice story with likeable characters, BUT it was too sappy, too sweet and too predictable.
