Okay, don't kill me now but the reason I gave 4 stars (more like 3.5) was that I didn't realize this was Melissa Brayden's first novel. I actually ready her other novel "How Sweet It Is" first and I ended up loving it more because I felt like her style developed more finesse overtime. Reading this novel following that one was slightly disappointing. I'm the type of reader that loves humor and she definitely loads it in wheelbarrow in her novels. I was expecting this novelto be just as good or better than HSIS but like I said, at the time... I didn't realize that this was her first novel. The beginning of the book had me 'flipping' pages on my kindle but... a little fast forward in time definitely helped pick it up. I thoroughly enjoyed it but I just enjoyed her other works more. So, if you enjoyed this book, I highly recommend reading all her other novels (I certainly did). She definitely became one of the authors that I would keep an eye out for her latest work (which is coming out soon! YES!) I can truly say that I enjoyed this book. The way how it was written really appealed to me. The characters spoke to me and the world in which they lived, I found very interesting. It was easy to empathize with the feelings of the characters. At the end of the book, my first thought was "this book would be a great movie." I've been thinking about it for days about which actresses would have to play the roles of Jenna and Adrienne. It was great for me as a reader to go into the whole trip that Jenna and Adrienne. experienced. I definitely want to read more of this writer.
