My five-year-old son picked this book out from the library last week. You would think that with Jane Yolen writing about dragons you couldn't go too far wrong. And you'd be right. This is a good book about dragons, but not quite my favorite. It did remind me strongly of the dinosaur books, which I actually prefer. This illustrations are charming and enhance the text well. This book is brand new and I think it is a very cute book. I think that children aging from pre-school to 1st grade would enjoy this book. It has some subtle rhyming throughout the book and the pictures are great. The knight in the story has to have patience with these dragons as they are not the best at cooperating with what they are supposed to do. I think this book would be good to teach a lesson about being patient with people or things that might not work the same way as you.Yolen, J., & Anderson, D. (2012). Waking dragons.
