hmpph. I thought this story might have some potential because it has one thing I really like in historical romance stories, such as time travel. Unfortunately it felt like the story wasn't ripe enough for me to enjoy reading. It lacked something that made me felt a bit bored in the middle of the story because I couldn't myself to empatize with the heroine maybe? Nonetheless, the research notes for this story characters is impressive for me :) I love highlander books, but this one was interesting because it was informative on weapons and of course the fact that the main highlander is actually a historical figure is just cool. :3 It's another love story, but Haley is an Irish girl with five brothers and doesn't take crap from anyone- especially after she was attacked during the beginning of her college years.So far the majority of highland stories I've read have been Lynn Kurland and Karen Marie Moning, so this one came off to me as a spicy little bit. I loved that she found ways to fight back. :) Very sweet, hot, and it's within the minds of a strong-minded present day woman and a warrior who isn't afraid of getting dirty. I loved their moments together!

Liked this one but the ending was kind of rushed with the skipping through the years too suddenly.
