Copy received from France Book Tours for an honest reviewWhen I saw "We'll Always Have Paris" by Jennifer Coburn I thought it would be a fun, light read about a mom and daughter traveling throughout Europe. It was but it was also much more. Jennifer Coburn really let's us into her life and her experiences. Although her and her daughter were experiencing Europe together there was always a part of her that remained struggling with the death of her father. She also let us enjoy the funny and quirky moments that she experienced with her daughter. Although the book is titled "We'll Always Have Paris" Coburn and Katie (her daughter) travel to other countries as well. I personally really loved reading about France, Italy, Spain and then Amsterdam. As part of their journey there is also a deep bond that is evident between this mom and daughter. Often times I found myself grabbing a tissue when she spoke about the struggles she faced with her fathers death. I really enjoyed this beautiful story about a beautiful family. I absolutely loved this book. It was such an easy read and really insightful. Looking through the perspective of a mother watching her daughter grow up while taking mother/daughter vacations to Europe, all the while contemplating when she will die based on her dad's life. As well, seeing Europe through the eyes of an American tourist. It sounds complicated, but it's straight forward. Amazing book.
Loved her descriptions of all the places they traveled.
