'The wheel weaves as the wheel wills'After Tokein very few have successfully managed to carve out original universes of their own. Jordan's 'Wheel of time' series is huge, in every manner. From the concept to the volume to the character plots. He's managed to create a frame where every law of the universe has been crafted by him. The wheel of time, the different ages, the prophesies, physics itself. The contempt he makes you feel for the Red and Black Ajah, to the uneasiness at the creation of the Ashahman, Jordan can manipulate your emotions through his writing just as he intends (not that I'm complaining). If you're looking to read something original, worth your time (because this will take up a lot, close to 10,000 pages of it) and completely engrossing, you should start here. Actually, I haven't read the last one... not sure if I can get back into them or not... but they were great when I read them... Just what the doctor ordered (almost literally)... so I lived in these books for a long time... read one after another... probably started in 2009 or so... so they were all written and I didn't have to wait years between them. hard for me to go back to a book after I've moved on - left the world - Like going back to old relationships - old jobs or careers -- can't do it... life goes on
What do You think about Wheel Of Time (2000)?
Started out good, then became rather slow. I found myself unable to finish the 7th or 8th book.

One my third re-read of this series of books. I think they are absolutely brilliant!
