I felt like this author did not say much about her husband who perished on 9/11. I read this book because I wanted to know all about him, and about them as a couple, but the author only shares snippets. This book is only about her making it through his passing, and this sounds callous but about the money/status she experienced before he died. It lacked some of the depth I thought it would have had. At least some of the profits from the book went to the foundation in his name. I wanted to hate this book about this rich widow grudging her way post 9-11 after her husband was killed in one of the towers. Throughout the book, she tries to downplay her wealth and access to resources but rightfully and graciously acknowledges her support system. As she so beautifully and honestly explores her grieving process and nicely tells all, this books warrants at least four out of five stars.
Keep the tissues handy! I cried through the first 140 pages.
