Who was Jim Henson was a pretty good book. Jim Henson is the creator of the Muppets. The book talks about the muppets and he made Sesame Street. I liked the best was that he was very artistic and creative. I also liked that he made muppets movies and Seasame Street shows. I think this book was a great book and it had a lot of info on Jim Henson. It also had lots of little details that made this book great. A children's book that tells the story of pioneering puppeteer Jim Henson's life, from his earliest days in Mississippi to the creation and growth of his company, Muppets, Inc. For me, the most interesting parts of the book included the details about the Muppets themselves -- like how Kermit was created and how Big Bird originally came to life. Also I didn't realize just what all Henson was involved in -- from Sesame Street to Fraggle Rock, and even Yoda from Star Wars -- so that was interesting as well. Incidentally, I bought this at the Jim Henson museum in Leland, Miss., where Henson lived as a child. I'd definitely recommend it for kids interested in puppets or even just pursuing a creative vision. Henson's life could well serve as inspiration to follow your passions, however different they might be.
