Yllättävät Ystävykset (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

This is a delightful book and a must-read for anyone who loves animals. I found it while browsing through a used book store and took my time reading it. I kept it on my bedside table and read a different story each night--they're short. I think my favorite is the one about the Lion, the Tiger, and the Bear that live and play together at Noah's Ark Animal Rehabilitation Center in Locust Grove, Georgia. I'd visit them in a minute if I didn't have to go across country, but I encourage any of you who live in the vicinity to check them out--then let me know about it. I liked it. I loved the photos. I would give it 4 or 5 stars but some of the stories didn't seem so much as friendships as 'stuck with each other for awhile' relationships. I got the impression the author had to pick out of a whole pile of stories. I'd rather she put in 20 stories of dogs and rabbits who really do have a friendship going than to do what it seems this author did: find as many different and weird friendships as possible, even if 'friendship' is a stretch of the imagination. Or make the book longer to cover more legitimate friendships. These are nice stories to read to animal loving kids, or to enjoy in a 'coffee -table' book style.

Cute, snugly, furry babies. The stories were ok, but I would have preferred more pics.

So sweet, hard to decide which was my favorite paring.
