An intense story about the enigmatic J/Justin/Reggie - who is he, what was he, what has he done - and Shawn who he found near death near his house.I found this quite riveting, the harsh attack on Shawn takes place before the story starts so we get the aftermath, and it is not a quick recovery. The duplicity of Janich is harsh, and the justice that Justin offers him at the end seems hard but fitting.An intense read, but pacy and well written. Really liked this one especially for a short. I did expect more action though and the pacing was a bit slow. I loved the characters though. I would have liked to have seen a bit more of Shawn. I don't feel like I really understand him. He seemed a little too easy with everything that was happening. I thought the redemption of Jamie was great though. He may have been a killer but he was a interesting killer.
