You're The One That I Dont Want - Kaulah Jodoh Yang Tak Kuinginkan (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

What a lovely book!I really enjoyed reading this - the concept of this book is quite different to other chick-lit books that I've read, as it's not about FINDING the One, but the opposite!Alexandra Potter's way of writing is brilliant, and there were quite a few moments in the story that made me laugh out loud!I highly recommend this book to chick-lit lovers - it's made me want to visit Venice again!! :) With a paranormal twist, this romance book (as every other self respecting romance book) was about soulmates. Lucy found hers when she was nineteen while being in Venice. Or so she thought. Head over heals over Nate, she kisses him under the Bridge of Sighs fulfilling a saying that if a couple kisses under the bridge they will be together eternally. The summer passes, she returns back to England while Nate back to the States and even though they try the distance dating thingie, one day he calls and tells her that he's getting married and they're over.Fast forward ten years later. Lucy has found a job opportunity at New York. Even though over the years she had her share of flings and relationships, she stills believes that Nate was The One and she was an idiot to let him slip through her fingers. Then fate (or maybe not) brings Lucy's path to Nate's appartment. Now that he's getting a divorce, she should be happy, right? But what if the man she always finds near her (thrown by fate or else) isn't the one she's in love with? What if she wants To Lose The One? This book had quite a unique twist in it. I'll admit that I didn't actually like Nate (even if he had the perfect name) and I kept hoping that Adam (bestest name ever, right?) was a famous actor or an uprising one incognito. But swell. The book was terrifyingly excellent otherwise. And funny. Don't forget funny :)

What do You think about You're The One That I Dont Want - Kaulah Jodoh Yang Tak Kuinginkan (2012)?

Confetti confetti! I've finished reading this and I am super happy. Do you guys ever thought that the one you regard as your soulmate isn't the one you want? The one you've fallen for years and you broke up then meet again unexpectedly but you don't want him though the universe seems to force you two to be together? Well, hit this book and you'll have a new experience. Then, I always read books about soulmates and they live happily ever after. But this book will leave you in awe and throw back all your dreamy soulmates fairytale haha. The ending is predictable but the way Alexandera Potter twists the plot is great. Plus, I love the fact that all chapters are short but full with excitement. Every chapter brings curiosity to me and it's way good feeling. This book will make you laugh and intense at the same time. I'm glad I bought this book which (as the matter of fact) I bought from Big Bad Wolf last year. What a great feeling I'm in right now!

I haven't read the last 50 pages in this book, I love the story about how things doesn't seem to have change because they both hang so tightly on to the memories of each other, but as they dig deeper they understand that time haven't stud still for ten years. I am a hopeless romantic, I love all the predictable gooey love stories, that maybe why I haven't read the last pages. I can't stand the thought that they aren't made for each other, so I made up my own ending.

I wish the ending had a more magical ending to it. So again, it was just okay.
