Zero Regrets: Be Greater Than Yesterday (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

As an athlete myself, it was fun to read about Apolo's passion for and dedication to his sport. The book was poorly written (incomplete sentences). The title leads one to believe that the book will inspire you, but I think that would be more likely to happen to true fans of AO. (I was asked by a friend to purchase this book and have AO sign it at the IMB expo. I was one day late in meeting AO, but decided to read the book before mailing it to my friend.) Absolutely incredible, from the first sentence.A bit more autobiographical than I thought it would be. With a title like "Zero Regrets: Be Greater Than Yesterday", I envisioned it as more of a motivational, here's-how-to-be-amazing-in-life type of book, but it was very much HIS story with a lot of wisdom thrown in.That being said, sometimes surprises are good for us. It ended up being unputdownable, and I am lusting to read it again. Apolo as a 28 year old has more wisdom and passion in his toe than most people are lucky to have in their whole lives. He embodies the Olympic Spirit, and is so hungry for life that it's impossible not to be inspired by his success. The fact that he's had his own set of personal troubles, bad friends and influences, and came from extremely modest means makes his story even more relatable. This is truly a book worth reading by anyone who enjoys reading stories of the "American Dream" or wants something that will inspire them to jump-start the next stage of their life.

What do You think about Zero Regrets: Be Greater Than Yesterday (2010)?

the first half of the book is essentially a rehash of his first book, but still interesting!
