This is a perfect representation of kids of this generation. Electronic devices have taken over the lives of these little kids, it consumes all their free time, which can be used towards reading. To me, I think this book is hilarious because the one without the book is constantly wondering what does a book consist of. While the one with the book is trying to concentrate on reading and is getting annoyed with questions that are gonna be answered repetitively. Once he gets his hands on the book, he is so focus and inside of reading the book that hours go by and he replies with "I'll charge it up", which I find hilarious. This is a book that I feel can be used for parents at any age level. Just to get their kids into reading. I believe that reading or the foundation of building a love for reading begins with the parents, if the parents do not ever introduce a book to the child, then it will not happen, and the child will eventually dislike reading. It's a Book is about a monkey that loved to read books and a donkey that has grown up with social media and technology. The donkey didn't understand what a book is because he has been so wrapped up on the Internet. He kept asking what the book was and if it needed to be charged like a cellphone or computer. Eventually, the donkey sat down and read the book for himself. This book is a great example of how technology is taking over our lives. It's a great reminder that it's important to sit down and read a hard copy of a book every once in a while. The donkey had no idea what a book was and it was really funny that he tried to relate it to technology the entire time and eventually he fell in love with reading. The poor monkey had to run to the library and get himself another book because the donkey wouldn't give it back!
