What do You think about A Fate Of Dragons (2013)?
It was really hard for me to give this book only 2 stars.Thor and Gwendolyn are once again reunited and the action packed book continues. This time Thor finds out more about himself than he wanted to and Gwendolyn finds out which direction her life will go in. The two are in the fight for their very lives and the lives of the ones they love as they are beginning to see that their are enemies all around.I love this series but this addition falls short of my expectations. A couple of the fight scenes seem as though they are duplicated and the way the author explained Thor's inability to ask Gwendolyn to marry him was hickey nockey. I wanted it to be more believable and less of pen stroke. Although the author did a good job of getting the plot to turn in the right direction for the next book it just seemed as though this one were filler with no substance. I am looking forward to the next addition and hopefully she will eventually end this entire series. There is nothing more aggravating than an adventure with no end in sight. I cannot stand to read one with more than 7 books total. It seems that the author is then just writing to sell instead of entertain their fans.

I find myself intrigued with this story. I think the writing isn't as good as some others that I have read, but none the less, I am enjoying the story. I had to wonder though at something- In the first book or two, Thor was told he was going to be a great king destined to do something great and then, he is destined to die. hmmm.... Gwendolyn saves him by making a deal with Argon to give up a part of her own life. We don't know what that is exactly, but it sounds kind of dire. Who is Argon? Is he a god? He seems to be able to hear everyone and comes when they pray- why is he able to do that? Why did Argon say Thor was more powerful than him and yet, Thor is not able to protect himself when he was fighting unless Gwen made that deal? There seems to be a few contradicting moments in the book that make me wonder a bit. I like Thor. I like his animal protectors. I hope we get to meet his mother soon and find out why his father never seemed to love him. Also, why is the Empire a place of such blood thirsty people? What is their history? Lots of questions and despite the problems here and there, I will keep reading the series.
