The plot of this book can be summed up pretty easily:People want Kate Winter dead. Kate goes on the run, and is chased. She suffers, goes in and out of the veil. The end. That's pretty much all that happens. I don't know why it took 300 pages to tell me this.Silas is on the other side of the ocean, where there's a worse version of Da'ru who wants to ruin the whole world to save only herself. It's not very interesting. There's a little action at the end, but not nearly enough to save the book. This book should have been 15 or so pages because nothing happens. This is my second time trying to read Jenna Burtenshaw's work, the first being the initial book in this series. As much as I wanted to like it- and as beautiful as her writing is- I couldn't help but keep flipping to the back of the book, counting the pages until I was done. It was just boring. I was engaged maybe once, and that was early on- but I was determined to finish, and I did.Overall, not for me.
What do You think about A Guarda Negra (2011)?
Not getting into it. Can't remember book one and no time to reread. Moving on

Definitely not as good as Shadowcry, but I still want to read the next one.

It was OK. Think I might leave book 3 for awhile though.
