I don't think I took a breath once while I was reading this book. The places and events in this book are mind boggling. The way that Ms. Taylor can envision the past events and translate them from her imagining to our "reality" is so thoughtful and intelligent, as well as gruesome and inspiring. She truly took time and effort into not only researching and knowing the subjects her intrepid heroine was jumping to, but also reading between the legend and lore and bringing them to light in a scientifically and historically possible reality. These mind blowing adventures aside, the EMOTION that I felt when reading this book (the others definitely have their moments too, but this one....) was insane. I couldn't stop feeling EVERYTHING as if it were happening to ME! Without saying anything about the plot, I can say that I cried for at least 2hrs while I was on a road trip listening to it on Audible (amazing reader too, by the way if you like Audiobooks!). And when i say crying, i mean face contorted-nose running-pouring down face-crying. It made driving difficult, but I cannot remember the last time I've ever been so moved by a story. And of course... the cliff hanger of the century... on to book 4 and I cannot wait!!!!!!!! Thank you Ms. Taylor for capturing my imagination and my heart! I want to give this 3.5 stars, but Goodreads doesn't allow that! This book definitely suffered from the third-book curse. It was more of the same as the first two. I would have liked to see more character development. Some of the writing style quirks are starting to wear thin. The ending was a big of deus ex machina and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. It did end on a cliffhanger so I will read the next one to see where the author takes it.
What do You think about A Second Chance (2014)?
heart wrenching and full of twists, a bit like the Time Travellers Wife

Still wonderful but I'm so confused! I need to make a chart!
