Abraham O'Donnell, the CFO of Steel Inc. Sets out to have a good time on Spring Break. He has a beach house and a private pool. So he thinks! "One of you ladies mind fetching me my shorts?"Nikolette (Nikki) Bassett, is in her last year of college and a few days late into Spring Break. She can most definitely use the distraction. Once she arrives all her friends can talk about is the HOT neighbor. When she runs into "Neptune" spark fly! "I wouldn't want it any other wayNeptune."My Thoughts on this book? It's wrote great, it kept my interest, and can get pretty hot. I liked the book so it gets a 3.5 from me. However, I think I probably would've liked the book better if I would've read Men of Steel first. Abe is Book one in the Ties of Steel series. * ARC PROVIDED BY THE AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST REVIEW *I’m not sure where to even start with this book. WOW!! It’s really that good. One of my new favorites. Absolutely fell in love with Abe & Nikki. I think you will too. This was my first MJ Fields book but will not be my last. I have already 1-clicked her Men of Steel series. I love her writing style and the characters she created in this book.Abe is your normal cocky rich CFO and Nikki is the innocent college girl. They first meet after Abe is sent on a vacation to relax by himself. Nikki happens to be staying with the girls that are staying next door to Abe. Abe isn’t interested in any long-term relationships just a vacation hook-up. He is instantly attracted to Nikki. He doesn’t know her name only refers to her as four. Since she is the 4th girl next door. She calls him Neptune. One line I loved was “Ooo, looks like Stella’s about to get her groove back.” I literally laughed out loud. They have immediate chemistry and end up spending a night together. It is hot, steamy and very sexual. So much so that it freaks Nikki out and she leaves while Abe is still in bed sleeping. Another favorite line is ‘ Well, Karma and I were now on fucked up terms because I didn’t appreciate that shit at all.” It’s hard for Abe to give up control of anything in his life. His ego and pride are bruised so he heads back home. Once back at the office he finds out he has to do an interview with a local paper. He gets the shock of his life when it turns out that Nikki is the reporter. He fights with her and won’t give her the time of day. They have run in with a car jacked and a creepy neighbor and eventually come together. They struggle with trust issues and have to overcome Abe’s need to “own” her. She doesn’t want to give up because she is afraid of losing herself more than she feels she already has. This is a really hot love story and I think it should be a must read for everybody. Definitely a five star for me. You will not be disappointed!!!Written by Jennie for Summer’s Book Blog
