CARMIE'S REVIEW - 5.5 StarsThe Men of Steel series continues to steal my breath away.MJ did it again - Xavier stepped off the pages and right into my heart. The youngest of the Steel men is feeling like the family has had too much togetherness. Xavier talks Momma Joe and the other brothers into letting him come back to the states. They've been in Italy for a few months now and he's tired of waiting to make something of himself. As much as he loves his niece Bella, he needs more than playing Barbie's to occupy his days.Music is Xavier's thing so it is natural he starts a production company; he's got to scout for talent, get them signed up on his label and make them stars. Momma Joe hires Taelyn to be Xavier's assistant. Taelyn seems like she is a good choice of an assistant for a man who has women throwing themselves at him left and right. Taelyn is almost finished with college, she's a hard worker, a very studious type and she has a boyfriend. Taelyn is all business when dealing with Xavier, on the outside anyway; on the inside Taelyn is feeling the effects of constant physical attraction she has to Xavier. Xavier has had his eye on Taelyn since the moment they met. His dealings with her are fraught with innuendo and flirty banter. He's waiting in the wings when Taelyn's boyfriend, Daniel messes up. Xavier steps in to save the day and so begins the courtship.Even though Taelyn no longer has a boyfriend, she doesn't jump into Xavier's arms right off the bat. She makes him work for it. Her biggest problem with him is that he is too much like her father and brothers - domineering, cocky, to name a few. Xavier has his work cut out for him. The has quite the battle to convince Taelyn and her family that is a one-woman kind of guy.The rollercoaster ride that MJ takes you on is well worth it. Xavier is one of the most engrossing books I have read; once I started reading, I didn't want to put it down. MJ did a great job keeping me entertained and it was well balanced with any violence that occurs in the book. The Men on Steel series is a must-have collection for all book lovers! Just because he is the baby doesn't mean he needs to be coddled.. He is still hot and knows it. He is very talented musically and quite they ladies man and ooh didn't i mention he is a prince in shinning armor? well not quite like that.. but there is a prince in there.. lol (inside joke)OOh no you'll have to read this funny and hot book..X is quite a guy.. Hmm maybe i should have X and Z together.. lolRecommend.. Ladies you NEED to read this series.. and then it goes to Abe...ooohh that will be interesting..
