Mystique closed the door. “Sean?” Her voice came out as a whispered squeak. That would not do at all. She couldn’t allow him to see any weakness in her armor. Letting him fuck her would be difficult enough. She cleared her throat and tried again. “Sean?” She heard rustling. Her heart raced as she moved cautiously forward. Suppose he wasn’t alone? She ignored the pain in her chest that the thought caused. Catching him with another woman would be perfect. It would show him up to be the shameless playboy of his reputation. He’d know not to continue chasing her if that were to happen. As she entered the bedroom, he flicked on the bedside light. “Mystique.” The sheets pooled about his waist, lovingly molding his bold erection. She ruthlessly tamped down the bubble of joy at finding him in bed alone. “Did I wake you?” She knew the answer. He’d been in her dream. But she wanted to know if he’d lie to her.
