Volume 2 of the Adventure Timr comics were slightly less enjoyable than the first. If only because it mostly centred around time travelling and robots from the future, which seemed kind of... infantile and obvious. Maybe it sounds pretentious and optimistic, but usually Adventure Time mixes in the generic cool cartoon fantasy stuff with something a little bit different and puts a different spin on it. This mostly felt like... robots from the future. I still enjoyed the characters though, and like in Volume 1 I loved the little writer notes written at the bottom of most pages.{{read 15/09/14 - 19/09/14}} I was a little bit disappointed in the first issue "adventure tim" seemed a little cliche as Finn and Jake already have dopplegangers (Fiona and Cake). I enjoyed the Time Machine story a lot more as it seemed more original and we got to see PB or (QB?) at her best, the ending with Finn and BMO is also adorable. Favourites such as Marceline and Flame Princess were missing from much of the story we got a funny cameo from the Choose Goose.
Adventure Time comics fill in the space between seasons with gusto. This collection is no exception. If you've read any of the comics, or seen any of the series and enjoyed the inspired madness, this volume is a must not miss. Also, the Ryan North comics must be read with even greater care. At the bottom of some pages, in lime green ink, North makes informative and amusing commentary on the story as it unfolds.
