Ohhh I like. Hot gay marshals. Partners. Miro loves Ian, but thinks he can't have him. But of course, all Ian wants is Miro. I totally fell for this story. The in your face chemestry. Why Miro did not see the need in Ian I did not know. The signs were all there. The posessiveness. The attention. But it was fun reading about Miro's longing. Of course there is a lot going on in this book. Miro gets shot several times. There are a ton of secundairy characters, who only play a part for two chapters. It was all just too ridiculous. But boy...did I have fun. I hope you will too. But keep in mind...I am easily pleased. 4.25 stars, yes a little bit of gymnastics on the ratings. I know that Mary Calmes books are a bit formulaic but if it is not broken why fix it. The book was an easy read I really liked the main Characters and most of the supporting characters. I must confess I was a little put off by the fact that I didn't really get to know Ian as much as I would like because the book was written from Milo's POV. This was compounded by the fact that Ian was absent from the book for a few chapters on a mission. I like my books with equal "air time" for both MCs. That would be my only complain but it was a comfort read, I know what I am getting when I pick up a Mary Calmes book so I won't complain, when I need brain candy, she is one of my go to authors.
