A good start to a series with lots going on. You've got fallen angels, death angels, vampires, shifters and demons with the odd human mixed in. The two MC's are a fallen angel and a new vampire who seem to have everyone after them. There are sexy and emotional parts and parts full of action. All in all a good story but I feel it would have benefited from more background initially with the main characters. I think the reader needed a chance to get to know the characters before the action and romance started. Saying that though it is a good story and it is worth reading. This is an adult read not YA by the way. Okay, quite honestly I read a lot, and I mean ALOT of YA books...so this really is the first non-YA series I started...I couldn't put it down. It wrapped me up and captivated me beyond what I thought I would be. Keenan is amazing. He did what he had to do for love....yes love...and Nicole is the object of his affection. How do I explain the amazingness of this book without providing spoilers for ones that haven't read it?!? Oh, I know...JUST READ THIS SERIES....The whole Keenan/Nicole/Sam/Carlos/Big Mike/Conner storyline is top 10 in my books... Thank you Cynthia Eden....you are great! On to book #2 now....
