Assimilation, Love, And Other Human Oddities (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
This is a fabulous addition to Lyn Gala's works. As a direct follow up to "Claiming's, Tails, and Other Alien Artifacts" I got to explore more of Ondry's world, as well as watch his relationship with Liam develop. I loved that I got to see more from Ondry's perspective. Gala did a fabulous job of showing the reader the oddity of human culture and behavior from an alien perspective. Best of all, this is a full novel. Since my only complaint about the previous novella in the series was that I wanted to to be twice as long, seeing this come up on my recommendations was like having Christmas come early! Buy and enjoy (but only after you read the first one)!!! Fascinating read. Not only is this the continued romance of Liam and Ondry but an amazing study of different cultures through some astoundingly thorough world-building by Lyn Gala.I migrate towards stillness in thought and manner. Manic is fun but thoughtful gets me hooked, riveting my attention, and this is a very thoughtful and thought provoking tale.I truly love everything about Ondry and Liam. All the elements that I had reservations about in the first book were not present here. There is a well established trust between these two that is heartwarming. Introduce another human and all goes a bit topsey turvey.Wonderful read and really makes me worry about when humans finally do make first contact.

Even better than the first one - looking forward to the next - no cliffhanger or sex overload
