I chose this book as the graphic novel to read. I was surprised at how well it explained elections in a kid friendly way. I'm personally trying to adjust to the new style of books now that are graphic novels, I've always been used to that style being nothing more than comic books, but it seems that kids really enjoy reading them. I was also surprised at how many books of this series there are. I could personally see using a book like this to help a younger child around 3rd or 4th grade get a basic understanding of elections and our political system. Another Bad Kitty book - this time with a focus on presidential elections. It's another chapter book done graphic novel style (though with a bit more text). This is geared towards slightly older kids than the other Bad Kitty books I've read (simply because I'm not sure younger kids wound be able to really understand - or care). I didn't get as much enjoyment from this one as the others (though Kitty's smile definitely cracked me up) because I felt we didn't get as much Kitty time.
My 7-year-old loves all these Bad Kitty books!
