Even as a eighth grader, reading this book has brought back nostalgia. I love this book even as a fourteen year old. "Bad Kitty Meets the Baby" is about a troublesome cat who loves to wreck havoc on her owners house. But she soon meets her match as a baby is welcomed into the house. Kitty thinks the child is a dog and dislikes it but her friends think the baby is a cat and tried to prove it in the Cat Olympics. Once the baby wins every event, kitty tries to get rid of the baby. But she finds out she was adopted just like herself and begins to treat the baby like her little "kitty sister" This book is definitely a silly and childish book but I actually enjoyed it. It has humor and I think it would be perfect for small children and even big kids too. The "Bad Kitty" books get two thumbs waaayyyy up. Hilarious. Nick Bruel's imagination takes flight in a stand-up-comedian fashion as we follow our amusingly drawn main character through what can only be described as his "cat problems". Any time an author can combine wonderful art, fun text, and a little bit of learning on the side they deserve a standing ovation. These books are the perfect transition for young readers going from picture books to chapter books.
I think it a funny book because there are a baby and a cat
