Bebe Day By Day 100 Keys To French Parenting (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
I loved the original memoir by this author. This petite volume is the French parenting lessons minus the personal backstory. I'm giving it five stars despite the fact that I enjoyed this less than "Bringing Up Bebe" because the majority of the keys themselves are so valuable and common-sensical. Taken out of context, the keys lose some vitality for me, but for those who have read the first book, it's great to have the advice laid out so clearly. I do favor the original book and recommend it to any new parents out there. This one is good for reinforcement, but it doesn't replace the original. Excellent advice! I read Pamela Druckerman's Bringing Up Bebe, so I was anxious to get this book as soon as I heard about it. Upon purchasing it, I found that it was a condensed version of the original. It is a great guide full of wonderful tips and inspiring successes, but I was hoping for more of an expanded how-to guide with material not included in Bringing Up Bebe.If you don't already have Bringing Up Bebe and you're not sure if you have the time to read through a whole (normal length) book, this is definitely for you. It gives the core messages, but it does not take very long to read through (or find information about a specific topic).I adored Bringing Up Bebe, but I'm still unsure whether I will keep Bebe Day to Day for quick reference or lending out.
