The woman never had learned to mind her own business. He’d call her on it but Lettie would just cluck at him and probably wouldn’t let him play with her newest toys if he pissed her off too much. “I was just in the neighborhood. Now I’m back at my hotel and getting into the shower.” That was sort of the truth.
