Why do something always have to come between Jackson and Harper? It's not the Order, it is Mrs Shadowford, or the cheerleaders, or Mrs Ashworhth. It seems there is always someone trying to get between them. When the cheerleaders from a rival gate town come for a football match Harper is put in the role of ambassador, showing the daughters of the rival town to a party. Of course threats are made against Harper's life again, although the perpetrators don't exactly get what they are bargaining for. Another plus in the story was meeting Zara, and her training with Harper made some very interesting scenes. I just don't know if I can trust her. Another great read. Well things are getting somewhere so that's great. I'm glad everything is working out and Mary Anne isn't evil. And Jackson seems to becoming more mysterious with every book. Does he officially have his powers back? I hope so. Harper is more powerful now, but I'm not sure what she is going to do without Aerdon if she is separated from him. She almost died without his help on several occasions. I know they will figure it out though, they usually do.

More of the same. Some more interesting character development, at least.
