*MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*I almost feel the same way about this second book as I did with the first one. I feel like the story is interesting enough that it holds my interest but leaves me with far more questions than answers. For instance. I know what happened to Brooke, but what REALLY happened to Brooke? Did the demon take over? Did all of her old self become irrelevant? And Morgyn. Was she a part of the evil group set out to destroy the Primas? Or was she trying to destroy the demon. I want to buy the third book if only to hopefully get some of these questions answered, but I have a feeling that I'm going to finish the book like I have these two and still be questioning many many things about it. This book is like the exact continuation of book one. I don’t know why the author didn't just merge them to one single book to actually satisfy the readers. The story is about Harper, a powerful witch, trying to get some answers to everything that is happening around her. She finally knows what she is and what she can do but people are still keeping secrets from her. There is no other way but to simply look for it on her own. She discovered a lot of things about the Order and Harper isn't sure anymore if she still wants to be a part of it.Like what I said, this is the book with a jumble of truths and secrets. The author somehow answered most of the questions from book one. I think this isn't really a good technique because she is making her readers lose their interest in the series. I was already quite bored from reading this that I just wanna start on a new series. However, this is just something you need to finish before being satisfied. Another thing is that, I dont think the writing of the author is that smooth. She is like jumping from one rock to the other. The way I see it is that she simply writes whatever comes to mind.I also think that the main heroine is just too lucky and powerful here. A witch with no practice what so ever, maybe a little, could get away with everything. Also, she is in God's favor. Everything is good for her that she never seems to get caught. She doesn't plan anything but comes out successful and she can finish anything within 24 hours. That is just ridiculous. I just really hope that the next book wouldn't be that bad anymore.
What do You think about Inner Demons (2010)?
Not enough even character development. Rushed endings proving to be an endemic problem.
