I recommend this book for most people it is very hard to put down and keeps you wanting to read it. However, if you are someone who does not like books that are easy to guess what’s going to happen next then it’s probably not the book for you. “The Trouble With Goodbye” is a typical young adult book where both the boy and girl are in a hard spot in their lives and they end up finding each other to complete each other. The setting is the perfect setting for this type of book, it’s a small town which makes it easy for Leigh Anne to find Knox, her hero after the car crash, over and over again without a phone number. In the beginning of the book it is hard to tell which characters are good and bad and for about half of the book it is hard to tell if the main characters crush is a good or bad person which could result in trouble. Leigh Anne’s friends are typical college students and overreact to anything that could possibly be bad making it hard for Anne to discover who Knox really is. The author had a positive yet concerning tone to the theme of the book, almost as if she has experienced something similar to the plot which helps to make the story seem even more realistic. I would definitely recommend this book even if you aren't in to young adult books or books that give obvious hints as to what will happen next. My reasoning for four stars is that it did get somewhat annoying being able to predict what will happen after every major event or plot twist. I really liked reading this. I found this while browsing in the top charts in iBooks. I chose it for the romance and yes there's a love story or more in there but it's more about how much a young woman has changed inside. She's had an experience nobody around her can relate to and the few people who know want her to act like it never happened, like she's the same person after all this. She has to find it in herself to face the demons and believe in this person she's become.
