In all honesty I didn't expect much from this book. It just seemed like the kind of novel you read to pass the time or if you have nothing better to do.But I was in for a surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It was fun and it had that whole young James bond thing going on which I loved in the Alex rider series even if it wasn't as awesome. However at times the storyline did seem a bit rushed and incomprehensive, thus the three stars.Though I definitely would recommend it to anyone who just wants to relax and read a light fun book. This was a Fast-paced, action junky kind of book. I felt like it was, James Bond meets white house down. (although it was terribly predictable at times) as all action movies are. I have to admire how Technically inclined the author is as well as, how he takes us through the 'buddyguard' training that you feel you are being trained yourself. Often authors fall into the trap of assuming the reader will understand what you are trying to tell your audience, but in this instance, he makes sure to keep you in the loop. I just have to say this, every time the author's terrorist spoke of American 'infedels' I could not take it seriously, as I constantly thought about Achmed the dead terrorist (Jeff Dunham).
The author went through actual bodyguard training to make it more lively!! Great job Chris!
