I love in the last Chapter how she talks about when we sit at the table and share a meal we are celebrating Christ. In the way that she describes this, it reminds me of Francois du Toit and how every time we would eat together he would say, "We celebrate the Incarnation when we eat together." - I have been marinating (no pun intended) on that concept for several months and now the Truth of that is growing clearer and clearer. Food brings people together and this book reminds us of that. I've only tried one recipe so far (the white chicken chili) and it didn't disappoint. This book also reminds us that our homes don't have to be perfect to gather people around our tables (um...the meals also don't have to be perfect). I'm inspired to some more do the recipes in here and to invite more people to share a meal at our table.
Overall I liked the book and how thoughtful she is. I am trying some of the recipes, for sure!
