By Kelly Cutrone (Author), Meredith Bryan (Author)If You Have To Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You (Hardcover) (2009) - Plot & Excerpts
This book has a very amusing attitude throughout. Cutrone has a very frank and straightforward delivery style. There is no coddling, no beating around the bush. As self help goes, if you can take a direct hit, go for it. Since she is in fashion, a lot of things are more geared to the fashion industry and how it works (which is part of the point of the book). It still has useful advice for general creative types and people who have not yet figured out their niche. The book itself - insightful, honest, encouraging. I love the 'get up & go attitude' that Kelly had/has. She is the definition of an independent woman. Her book is so positive when it comes to chasing your dreams, knowing your worth, learning lessons, religion/beliefs all that. I took a lot from the book but will admit to finding some things she said a little contradictory. I'll be honest she scares me a little but I suppose that's good. An easy read & one I would recommend.
